Sorry about the lack of updates lately. I was trying to become a more active blogger, but that's kind of hard when your computer dies.

My old Dell kicked the bucket. Well, the hardrive did, and then they wanted me to pay 250 bucks to repair that. Instead I'll be getting a new computer, but that's taking a while. Needless the say the service here hasn't been anything remotely special. I'll try to update this weekend since I'm at work a lot and have access here.

It's amazing how little computers have advanced since I bought one. Sure, they're a little faster, a little better graphics, etc. However, during the computer arms race that was going on for a few years it seems like they jumped light years ahead every few months.

To me this is a representation of how capitalism seems to work. The updates were fast and furious until almost every person who wanted a computer got one. Once that happened and there were less first timers to suck in, the progress slowed down or chagned to another technology. The personal computer's progress slows while the cell phone and other cell related things go through a million changes every few months now instead. Goodness, if you can't update your website while looking at porn watching the game and unlocking your car on your cell phone - what's the point of having one?
